Prayer Requests for Upcoming Nigeria Trip – September 9, 2009

Good evening in this 9th hour after noon on this 9th day of the 9th month of the 9th year after 2000!

I have included prayer requests for the October Nigeria trip, and I would appreciate your ongoing prayer. Pray that God would supply financially for the entire team of 11, and that I would be able to connect with many of you before and after this trip to share in person how God continues to lead in my life. Thank you so much for joining with me to spread God’s glory around Africa! I am abundantly blessed to know each of you, and I am excited to hear how He is working in your lives, too. So please let me know how I can be praying for you as you pray for me.

Prayer Requests:

  • That God would be glorified through this trip in attitude, word, & deed
  • That the eMi team would bond well
  • That God would prepare our hearts and strengthen us to share His love & gospel
  • That the Holy Spirit will work mightily in the hearts of people we encounter
  • That God would protect the team spiritually and physically
  • For insight & flexibility as we design with local, sustainable criteria in mind
  • For Christ to shine through us as we meet with key officials, contractors, and ministry partners
  • That God would enable us to work effectively and efficiently in the site survey, spiral waterwheel design, master planning, hydraulic layout, water treatment, and sanitary treatment for the site
  • That the team would be sensitive to and follow the Holy Spirit’s leading, not just our agenda
  • For God’s grace in enabling the team to complete our goal of 75% design in-country so that construction work may begin as quickly as possible on the site
  • That God will continue to provide vision & direction to the Prayers Farm staff
  • That local people & leaders would sense the love of Christ and be encouraged through this project and the agricultural training that will be offered in the future
  • For God to use this training center to draw Hausa, Fulani, and other unreached peoples around Nigeria to Himself, revealing His light and truth in many lives
  • That God would strengthen Nigerian Christians with the power of His might, filling them with His Spirit, giving them grace to stand in the midst of persecution
  • For Nigerian believers to demonstrate a love for and unity with others that transcends divisions
  • Praise God for the outreach opportunities that the hydroponic training center will provide
  • Praise God that He has grown and continues to grow His church in Nigeria, raising up some of the largest prayer meetings anywhere in history

For anyone who is curious about the spiral waterwheel part of this project, you can find some more detailed information at and a video of one working at and

Reflecting Christ to make known God’s glory,

All your works shall give thanks to you, O LORD, and all your saints shall bless you!
They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power,
to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds, and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
(Psalm 145:10-12)
