Praising God: October Nigeria Trip & 2010 Perspectives Class Planning Update – September 20, 2009

I am praising God tonight for already providing nearly 20% of the funds needed for the upcoming Nigeria trip, and for His grace in enabling me to submit the planning documents for the Perspectives (www.perspectives.org) class that I am co-coordinating at my church January through May of next year! Thank you so much for your prayers for both of these upcoming events that I am investing much of my life in right now! I would appreciate your prayers for our first Perspectives coordinating team meeting this coming Wednesday.

Some more updates on the October Nigeria trip include:

  • Our passports have been sent to the Nigerian embassy with visa applications. Please pray that our visas would be issued without delay so that each team member will have a passport with a visa before departure on October 17.
  • Air travel plans have been finalized, and most of the team will be returning to the US after a one-day stop in Paris. The dates of the trip are October 17 to October 29. Continue to pray that the team would bond well and that we would enjoy all of our time together, working on the project, fellowshipping, and ministering as the Lord leads.
  • In addition to me, the project team will be: Rex (eMi trip leader), Michael (eMi civil engineering intern), Brice (eMi mechanical engineering intern), Jim (electrical engineer) and his wife Mary Ann (volunteer), Emily (civil engineer), Brian (agricultural engineer) and his wife Kate (architect), Benjamin (architect), and Scott (surveyor). May God faithfully display His glory through each of us, as we serve together.

If you would like to contribute financially toward the Nigeria trip, you may do so online at https://emisecure.org/donate.html (include “Project 5499 – Agee” in the Designation box).

Joyfully His servant,
John
