Christmas Greetings

As we near the day that we celebrate the birth of our Savior, I am excited to share the news from Ibagwa, Nigeria that the shipping container has arrived with all of its contents! Praise God for His timing and for His protection of the contents!
It took the truck 12 hours to make the normally 4-hour trip from Port Harcourt because of police attempts to pilfer some of the contents, 2 flat tires, and a broken bearing. Praise God that the shipping company sent a representative along to watch the container, and that the shipping company does not pay bribes (even though that delayed the container an extra week at customs). Todd, the Ikpe family, and others spent all night last night unloading the container, which is a blessing because it is so hot and humid during the day there now during the dry season. Todd is now staying through December 31 to drill a well for the family and to do whatever he can at the Prayers Farm site.
People from the villages around have been stopping by requesting Bibles and hearing the gospel from the family as they receive them. Praise God for the opportunity they now have to read the truth of His Word! Please continue to pray for the truth of the gospel to be understood and preached in this part of Nigeria.
The attached picture that I took from Colorado Mines Peak near Berthoud Pass is a mosaic that contains 1000 pictures from my trips to Africa (Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Sudan, Uganda, and Nigeria) this past year. May God be praised for the ways He has worked throughout the past year in and through my life! I look forward to joining eMi full time and partnering with many of you in the coming year!
Magnifying Christ, the Lord,
John
Luke 1:46b-55
“My soul magnifies the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant.
For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed;
for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name.
And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with his arm;he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts;
he has brought down the mighty from their thrones and exalted those of humble estate;
he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy,
as he spoke to our fathers, to AbrahamChristmasMosaic2009and to his offspring forever.”
